SINDA/FLUINTÔ
SINDA/FLUINTÔ allows the user to incorporate customized subroutines to handle complex, problem-specific calculations. Examples include chemical reactions, gas generation from radiolysis, heat transfer property calculations as a function of the mole fractions of the gas constituents, pressure, and temperature, etc. The code can handle extremely large thermal model (> 500,000 thermal nodes) efficiently by allowing the system to be broken into ‘submodels’. Each submodel can be assigned its own solution control constants to speed the overall solution by allowing submodels with large heat sources/sinks, temperature sensitive elements, etc. to receive the greatest share of the computer resources. SINDA/FLUINTÔ has been validated under NQA-1 and 10CFR71, Subpart H for use in evaluating the thermal performance of safety related systems for nuclear designs.
