Who we areQ-Metrics is a consulting engineering firm located in Kirkland, WA. Q-Metrics has been providing engineering analysis and design consultation in areas of heat transfer, fluid flow, structural mechanics, and energy conservation since 1991. The firm has leveraged its intensive understanding of the theoretical, computational, and experimental aspects of these disciplines to provide high quality, technically advanced engineering solutions for a wide variety of challenging problems. Examples include the handling, storage, and transportation of nuclear materials, the design of electronic packaging (from the chip to the enclosure level) for commercial and military avionics, the design and optimization of industrial processes, and the conversion, storage, and conservation of energy. Q-Metrics personnel have authored and reviewed numerous safety analysis reports (SARs) and are accustomed to assisting with project design reviews and providing product design recommendations. They are experienced in conducting design and confirmatory analyses, documentation, and in justifying and defending their analyses before outside review boards and groups such as the Nuclear Regulatory Commision and the Defense Nuclear Fuels Safety Board. Q-Metrics has developed an extensive technical library and a group of associate engineers which may be drawn on to support anticipated work. We provide practical solutions to real-world problems in a manner that is consistent with our clients needs and budgets.
